Terms & conditions:

1. Definitions
The Client: The recipient of the service and name listed on the booking form
Makeup Artist: Zuzana Lugosova
The Agreement: The contract that exists between the client and the makeup artist for the agreed fee
The fee: The amount payable by the client to the makeup artist for the services listed above
The event: Relates in principle to the date whereby the event (i.e. the wedding) takes place
The party: Additional members of the bridal party


2. Securing the booking of the event
Bookings
The booking of the event is only reserved once the makeup artist has confirmed the appointment and the time of the appointment as well.


3. Booking fee/Deposits

Bridal Bookings
In the case of a wedding booking, where a trial is being held, the wedding makeup trial cost will be required as the booking fee. The client pays the rest of the payment on the day of the wedding.
This booking fee covers the cost of the client’s trial and provisionally holds the event date.
This booking fee must be paid no later than on the day of the trial.

If the client decides to skip the trial for some reason, then a deposit will be required as the booking fee.

The client has 7 days to pay the deposit for the wedding booking. If the client fails to do so, the makeup artist is allowed to give the date to someone else.
The booking of the bridal makeup is only reserved once the client has paid for the trial (non-refundable booking fee) or the deposit (in cases where trial is being skipped).

Special Occasion Bookings

No booking fee is required for other types of events, however, makeup artist is allowed to demand a booking fee, if a client has cancelled an appointment in the past, less than 24 hours before the appointment.


3. Payment
Payments can be made in cash or via bank transfer, cheques will not be accepted.
The non-refundable booking fee for a trial or a deposit (in case of weddings) paid by the client is taken off the total fee for bridal makeup.
Failure to pay the fee within the stated time can result in the event being cancelled by the Makeup Artist.


4. Responsibility of the client

The client shall inform the makeup artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The makeup artist cannot be held liable for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the client’s failure to inform the artist of any known condition.
The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members of the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behavior.


5. Cancellations / Amendments
Special Occasion Bookings

The client can cancel the event any time up to 24 hours before the event by informing the makeup artist in writing.
Any cancellations made after this time will result in paying a booking fee next time a client books an appointment, or in worse cases, the makeup artist will not book the client again.
Bridal Bookings

With a Trial: The makeup artist will be under no obligation to refund money paid for the trial, if the client decides to cancel their wedding appointment, as the booking fee for a trial is non refundable.

The client can cancel a trial at any point, however a trial cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, will result in a required payment for the entire event on the day of a next trial – if the client wishes to book another appointment for the trial.

No Trial: The client can cancel their appointment up to 7 days prior to their wedding date. If a cancellation is made after this time, the makeup artist will be under no obligation to refund the deposit that was paid up until point of cancellation.
Cancellations by the makeup artist due to circumstances including, but not limited to, problems rendering the performance of their obligations and where no other suitable alternative can be given -will result in a refund to the client. No further compensation will be offered.
If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of the makeup artist every possible endeavor to rectify such situations will be made, however no compensation will be offered on the makeup artist’s part. 
Changes to event dates are subject to availability.


6. Photography
The client understands and agrees, that if they agree to have their before and after photo taken when asked, the makeup artist reserves the right to use any such image for publicity and promotional purposes which include, but are not limited to, the makeup artist’s website and social media pages.


7. Travel Expenses
The client will cover any necessary travel expenses of the makeup artist as agreed at time of booking.
Travel fee is charged at a rate 30kr per kilometer.
Travel fee is only charged if the client chooses their own location.
Travel fee is calculated based on the distance that the makeup artist has to travel – from their home to the client and back.
The makeup artist does not travel to clients that live in Reykjanesbær area, those clients are obliged to come to the MUA’s studio – unless the makeup artist and the client agree on different terms.
Travel in excess of 2 hours for a return journey will be subject to additional charge.
